Delicious 100% Malbec wine from France's South West's subregion Cahors with a pleasant character and beautiful complexity.
Much smoother than the Chilean or Argentinian Malbec, this wine is richly filled with impressions of ripe dark forest fruits such as blackberry, combined with subtle aroma's of wild nuts and a touch of vanilla. The wine is quite full-bodied and powerful, but also has a very pleasant softness paired with a nice long aftertaste.
Many people believe the Malbec grape originates from South America, but in fact it was in the Cahors that this grape variety was born. And that is why this alone is an absolute must try as a lover of Malbec wines.

Mas des Étoiles
That the cooperation between wine lovers and producers Arnaud Bladinières and David Lorit would become a success was clear from the beginning. The property, lying in the heart of the Cahors wine region, spreads over a tiny 5 hectares, of which 1 hectare is used for white grapes (Chardonnay, Sauvignon) and the remaining 4 hectares for the characteristic red Malbec grape.
It all started in 1998 when the two met at the “viticulture” school in Montagne, Saint Emilion. At the end of their studies in 2002, both friends decided to gain experience in the wine industry, with the idea of eventually producing their own wines together.
Five years later, in 2007, the two came together to start planning their dream project at the Chateau of Arnaud’s father (Chateau de Bladinières). Fascinated by the traditions of the Sud-Ouest and great lovers of the typical Malbec wines from the region, the two decide to focus on perfecting this powerful grape variety, with the help of only 100% natural processes. Partly because of this and thanks to the enormous passion of the duo, the Malbec wines of Mas des Étoiles are today well known for their finesse and softness, and all that without losing the powerful typical ripe flavors and peppers you expect from the grape variety!
